Founded in 1866, Florence was a farming and ranching settlement on the Gila River where trade routes and stage lines met, but the town did not really boom until a nearby silver strike in 1875 turned it into a hub of commerce and Wild West excitement. It was then that Florence became the County Seat of Pinal County and still holds that distinction to this day. With a unique historic district and new developments, Florence has something to offer you.

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary Organization of business and professional people working in partnership with government and community leaders for the enhancement of economic vitality and quality of life for the local community.
