Box Canyon OHV Trail is a 20.4 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Florence, Arizona that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for off road driving and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Casa Grande Ruins National Monument: This National Park preserves an Ancient Sonoran Desert People farming community and “Great House.” Created as the nation’s first archaeological reserve in 1892, the site was declared a National Monument in 1918.

The Florence Jr. Parada Rodeo is a historical tradition in the Town of Florence and has an 80 year tradition. The Junior Parada Rodeo is promoted by the Pinal County Mounted Posse and the Town of Florence. The 2012 rodeo was the 80th Annual Rodeo, making it the oldest Junior Rodeo in the United States and is the home of many champion cowboys. Nearly 70 potential future PRCA cowboys and cowgirls ages 5-18 competed in rodeo events including saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, team roping, breakaway roping, goat tying, barrel racing and even bull riding.

The Florence Aero Modelers Club was formed in 2006. The Club is sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), District X Club Charter 4720. ​The world of Model Airplanes is one that anyone can participate in. Come Fly With Us. The flying site is located on Highway 79, approximately 2.5 miles South of Florence at Mile Marker 130, which is directly across the highway from the Charles A. Whitlow Rodeo Park.

Florence Coke Ovens is a 26.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Queen Valley, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, mountain biking, and ohv/off road driving and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Lost Dutchman State Park is a 320-acre state park located near the Superstition Mountains in central Arizona, USA, and named after the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine, a famous gold mine legendary among the tales of the Old West. It is accessible about 40 miles north of Florence via U.S. Highways 79 & 60.

18-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Panks and managed by Troon Golf. The course is a par 72 and offers 5 sets of tees ranging from 5,300 yards – 7,300 yards in length providing golfers of all skill levels an enjoyable experience. Memorable par three holes featuring island greens, stacked stone walls and bunkers stretching from tee to green will captivate players wanting to try it again and again!

This Wilderness was designated in 1939, and was expanded to its present size in 1984. It now contains approximately 160,200 acres. There is a well-developed trail system, and the western end of the wilderness receives heavy use during the cooler times of the year. Trail conditions vary from fair to very poor. Several trails are unsuitable for horses. The area is starkly beautiful and often rugged, but can be inhospitable to those not equipped to meet nature on her own terms. Searing heat and a shortage of water are typical conditions in the summer. Bitter cold, rains (and even snowstorms) may occur in the winter. Rumors still abound concerning lost gold mines, “secret maps,” etc., and are still being sold to the unwary.
